What L'Arte dell'Ascolto (LADA) is?
L'Arte dell'Ascolto created by Roberto Paci Dalò in 1991, the festival is dedicated to radio and media with the accent stressed on the realization of projects in the area of the Mediterranean. The festival has produced radio-telematic events, concerts, shows, conventions, installations based on the integration of different systems used in parallel (cf. radio, internet, physical spaces...) and on the relation between traditional cultures and digital society. Among the festival's creations: La lunga notte (1993, EBU/UER award), Publiphono, Body & Soul (1996), Heiner Müller Material (1997).

Roberto Paci Dalò is born in Rimini in 1962. Director and composer, professor at the Department of Science of Communication / University of Siena. 1993 awarded by Berliner Künstlerprogramm des DAAD. Among his works: Cave di Pietra (San Francisco 1989), Napoli (Nantes1993), Auroras (Berlin 1994), Lost Memories (Graz 1994), Many many voices (Berlin 1995), Architettura della separazione (Linz 1997), Nishmat Hashmal (Parma 1998)..

Giardini Pensili Theatre company and media lab - it first made its name in Italy Ð where it was founded in 1985 by Isabella Bordoni and Roberto Paci Dalò Ð then especially in Austria and Germany. Centre of their work is a research on language and on perception, on the relation between ancientness and contemporaneity, on the communication systems. They have presented their own productions in Europe, in the Middle East, in the Americas. Parallelly to their theatre work they have produced various radio and music pieces and other works in the field of the new media. They have dedicated a particular attention to the development of projects in the area of the Mediterranean aiming to sketch correspondences between myth and modernity.

Giardini Pensili and Archivi della Modernità Venezia are working on a common project of scanning of the sound identity of the cities. Since years have been created a series of interventions oin the public space in form of sound and light environment.
Giardini Pensili's projects are in collaboration with the Akademie der Künste Berlin.
